Castilho

About us

If we compare Parque Eduardo VII to Central Park NY,  Rua Castilho and its neighborhood would be the Lisbon Upper East side.

Lisbon is formed by little hills and the top of the park offers for this reason a beautiful view of the park itself but also of Marques de Pombal, Avenida da Liberdade (our 5th avenue) and of course the Tagus river.
At the East of the park you’ll find El Corte Ingles, very famous for its gourmet épicerie and the very well-known street Sidonio Pais for its enormous and luxurious apartments.

The West part is however more premium. What turns Castilho District so attractive is its day life. Very chic Portuguese families live, work, and go shopping here. Lawyers, doctors, cosmetic  and PR companies, famous hairdressers, have their offices in the neighborhood. You also have good restaurants like Eleven, Casa da Comida, Flo, d’Oliva, Olivier...

Rua Castilho opens its doors to The Vogue Fashion Night Out event thanks to its glamorous shops like LaPerla, Karen Muller, Coccinelle, Hoss Intropia, BCBG, Stivali Stock off and the famous Loja das Meias.

In Rua Castilho, upper part, you also find The Ritz, the Intercontinental and the trendy gymnasium Clube VII.

The upper part of Avenida da Liberdade  is a part of what we call The Castilho District.

Buildings are more art-deco style, some very typical pombaline architecture, some more moderns, others rococo, the Porto Bay 5* hotel boutique is a great example of what renovate building can be turned into.

Divided by S.S da Pedreira and S.Mamede, this area has one of the most expensive m2 prices in Lisbon because of the high quality standards buildings you can find around Rua Rosa Araújo, Rua Brancaamp.

The fact that Príncipe Real and Avenida da Liberdade are only a few minutes walking away through São Mamede’s street, but with the peace and the easy parking as a bonus, also contributes to make this area an exclusive one.

Apartments under construction are sold to national but mostly international clients who are looking for sophistication. It is a very good real state investment for whom appreciates to live in a premium Lisbon neighborhood and can afford it ...  For sure!
